Ben Kinsella Workshop written by Bridget in 6P
This week, Year 6 visited the Ben Kinsella Trust in Barking where we learnt about the effects of knife crime. We were split into groups and my group went into a room with Ben’s childhood photos and artwork and were told to stand next to something that we liked. I stood next to a photo of him as a toddler – he was adorable. Next, things got quite emotional as we learnt that Ben sadly lost his life and we saw some CCTV footage of Ben just after he was stabbed. We then heard how this has affected his family. The workshop has made me realise that I have to be more aware of knife crime and the effect that it can have on so many people’s lives.
