Year five use their creative skills to support the local community
On the afternoons of Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th we were invited to design pictures and slogans for litter bins in the local park . The children each designed part of a character and then shared and evaluated their designs via discussion. Some of the designs will be used and displayed in the park to encourage people to use the litter bins and to prevent the litter which can currently be found spoiling the park. It is hoped that the school can take part in an event in the park revealing the chosen design ideas and to see them put into place by the bins in Dagenham Park once all the winning designs have been selected.
This not only supports the pupils' artistic skills and supports the local community but also promotes future careers in design.
