This week Year 4 tell us about a London Museum workshop they had.
This week we had a very interesting workshop on Zoom from the London Museum. We learnt about the 'Havering Hoard', which was found in a quarry in Havering which is not that far from us! Archaeologists found lots of Bronze Age artefacts like axe heads, knifes, swords and daggers. We were able to see them and ask lots of questions. They said that sometimes they only find little bits and have to work out what they were and what they were used for. They do not know exactly why they were buried together like this but did tell us that bronze was very valuable at this time.
