Learning about our legal system

A particular highlight this week was our Year 6 classes visiting the Royal Courts of Justice in London and Snaresbrook Crown Court. The pupils were able to deepen their understanding of how the UK justice system works by observing a real crown court case based on a true story, in which a 13-year-old girl was charged with cyberbullying and received a three-month custodial sentence. This stark example served as a powerful reminder to all our pupils about the seriousness of online behaviour and the far-reaching consequences our actions can have. The visit also offered a glimpse into the various roles within the legal system—who knows, we may see some of our own Year 6 pupils pursuing careers in law in the future!

Unfortunatley neither court would allow us to take any photographs inside.
