Visit to St. Paul's Cathedral
We had our first Year Five visit of the academic year with class 5A visiting the Museum of London and taking in the magnificent views of St Paul's Cathedral. The children could not contain their excitement as they travelled by train into London – there were smiles all round! As part of our geography unit ‘United Kingdom’, they have been researching our capital city and this trip has allowed the children to see just how wonderful it is. Within our art unit ‘Architecture’, we have been looking at the exhausting planning and designing process architects have to face – 5A were blown away by St Paul's Cathedral and were taken back by how long it took to build and plan. We took some brilliant photos and cannot wait to sketch St Paul's Cathedral from second hand observation.
