Enjoying the sights of Greenwich - especially the park!
Good behaviour is rewarded at William Ford, and these pupils have experienced this first hand! The top two pupils for achieving green house-points in each class, along with one recognised by their teacher for improved behaviour, enjoyed a trip to Greenwich.
After travelling through Canary Wharf on the DLR and considering what it might be like to work in such an area, we arrived at Island Gardens where a brief geography lesson was given as we looked at the river. We then made our way under the River Thames, through the foot tunnel before arriving at the Cutty Sark, south of the river.
After viewing this great ship we made our way up a very steep hill to the viewing point where we looked back across our journey and towards the City of London. We enjoyed seeing the planes that had taken off from City Airport, along with those preparing to land at Heathrow, as we ate our lunch before trekking back down and enjoying a good hour in the huge play park. It was great to see everybody playing so nicely together. across year groups - a true family feel!
