William Ford 5 - 4 Five Elms
A phenomenal performance from our Year Six football team yesterday, who managed to recover from being 2-0 down to win 5-4. Not only did all the children show excellent determination and perseverence but their team work and support of each other was also great to see.
Our goalkeeper made a number of fantastic saves whilst the other boys passed the ball beautifully around the pitch. The goals, including a few taken from some distance, were also perfectly aimed.
In addition, when the final whistle blew, the players were quick to approach the other team to shake their hands, demonstrating remarkable sportsmanship.
A huge thank you to one of our governors, Mr. Harrington, for organising this fantastic experience and to all the staff and parents who came to support.
Good luck to the team who will now be playing in the final in a couple of week's time!
