Today, William Ford Junior School was alive with music, lights, and excitement as pupils enjoyed not one but two spectacular discos! Now in its third year, this much-anticipated event has become a highlight of the school calendar, with separate sessions for Years 3 and 4, followed by Years 5 and 6.

At William Ford, we believe in doing things on a grand scale, and this year’s discos were no exception. The hall was transformed into a dazzling party venue, complete with a professional DJ, vibrant lights, a smoke machine, and lasers that gave it an unforgettable atmosphere. For our Year 3 pupils, many experiencing their first school disco, the excitement was written all over their faces. One child summed it up perfectly, exclaiming, “Wow, a proper party!”

The discos were made even more special by the generous donations of party food from families, ensuring everyone could enjoy delicious treats as they danced the night away. From classic moves like the Macarena to modern hits, the children truly impressed with their energy and creativity on the dance floor. Staff also joined in the fun, showing off their own dance moves and adding to the joyous atmosphere.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making the discos such a success – from the food donations to the staff and DJ who brought the event to life. It was a fantastic way to celebrate together, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s festivities!
