Wototo Children's Choir

This week Rodiatu tells us about watching the Watoto choir

On Wednesday morning, Year 4 and Year 6 walked to the Riverside Church to see the Watoto Children's Choir perform. They are a choir of orphaned or abandoned children who are lucky enough to be adopted into the Watoto family and be looked after by a mother who has also lost their family.  They are from Uganda in Africa and all of the children on the stage had been left at the hospital when they were babies. They are very talented dancers and they love to dance to show people how good they are.  They even asked me to come on the stage and dance with them.  I was scared but also excited to go on the stage with them.  I wanted to tell them that they were really good but we didn't have time to talk afterwards. I did get a CD as a prize for going on the stage.  Their singing was so good and we all stood up and danced and sang with them.  At the end we clapped and cheered.
