Year Four
Year 4 have had a wonderful week beginning their new unit in English and Reading on the Revolt against the Romans! They also had a fantastic time learning about Tolerance and Respect during our British Values day.
What we have learnt about this week
This week in English and Reading, year 4 pupils started their new unit in English and Reading on the Revolt against the Romans!
In Maths, pupils have been learning all about time, learning about the days, weeks, months, years, as well as how to convert between analogue and digital timings.
During art, pupils learnt how to draw in the style of an artist (Picasso), using cubism to recreate a picture.
In geography, pupils did research and compared two European capital cities: London and Paris.
They also had a fantastic time learning about Tolerance and Respect during our British Values day.
What we will learn about next week
Next week, pupils will be shifting their focus towards Roman Britain and looking at how the Romans impacted Britain, when they attempted and then finally conquered Britain.
In geography, pupils will be looking at the human and physical features of a capital city.
In RE, pupils will be looking and the role and responsibilities of the holy spirit, in Christianity, as they study the 'Kingdom of God.'
