Year Four
Year 4 have been as busy as ever, enjoying their learning and taking part in extra-curricular activities this week.
What we have learnt about this week
This week, in Science year 4 pupils have been identifying the parts of the digestive system and describing their functions.
In maths, pupils have been learning how to divide by 10, as part of their decimal unit of work.
In English pupils have been working on their descriptive writing skills, as well as learning how to write, using speech and dialogue.
In History, pupils had a great opportunity to take part in a live stream with the Museum of London, examining the bones of a Roman that were excavated in the UK. They also studied how Roman beliefs changed over time.
In RE, pupils looked at PEter's denial and how he and Jesus would have felt during this time of denial.
In PSHE, pupils reflected on their friendship groups and identified the people who were most valuable to them.
What we will learn about next week
Next week, pupils will be continuing their learning in maths, with regards to decimals.
In English, pupils will begin to write their narrative based on a child having to catch and train a dragon! Our reading unit will back this up and support this narrative.
In science, pupils will be interviewing someone who has an interesting story about their own human body and the digestive system.
Pupils will also be continuing their rehearsals for the Easter play, which will be performed at the Easter breakfast. Watch this space!
